It is with great pleasure that we share one of our New Year’s Resolutions for 2020 with you:
helping you to improve your productivity and efficiency in your everyday workflow.

For the past few months, as you may have seen, we have been focusing on improving our free Revit add-ins to better respond to your needs. We now offer the updates for supporting all Revit versions from 2015 to 2020.

First up for improvement was our Add-ins manager, which now allows you to download all of our public Dynamo scripts directly. These include features for enabling style replacements to help you maintain a clean, light model, and better managing your parameters.

Next, we are especially excited to share our updated Import-Export Excel Add-in (which has been downloaded over 67 328 times!). Following your feedback, we have included many improvements such as "Unidirectional" export which allows you to retain the proper naming conventions between Revit and Excel.

As you can see, this tool has great potential to enhance your existing processes. It allows you to export data from your models to Excel tiles to share or present the information more effectively.

However, the add-in really comes into its own when you use it to export data such as schedules or Revit standards from your models. You can process or modify the data in Excel, before re-importing it directly back into your models where your schedules and standards will be updated.

With the add-in, your tasks are made simpler, faster, and ultimately democratized. People who cannot access models in the authoring software can still collaborate on projects and access the information contained in your BIM models.

To learn more about this feature, please read our in-depth guide here.

All in all, it’s a great start to the new year! We have many more ideas and projects in the pipeline that we hope will continue to meet your needs.

Stay tuned for the latest news and updates on our various platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Instagram, YouTube, and our website.

Thank you for partnering with us, and Happy New Year!
